This weekend we had some of our favorite friends come up for a visit. We checked out a couple waterfalls in the area.

The first we visited were the Chittenango Falls.

Then we made our way up north to the Salmon River Falls.

Normally when we come home the cat comes running to the door to greet us. This time, however, when we came home from the falls the cat wasn’t at the door to say hello. And wouldn’t come when we called him (another unusual thing). All four of us searched for a long time for the cat, turned the whole house upside down, searched outside…I thought he was gone.

Well, out of a last resort place to check I lifted the covers up off our bed, and what do you know…a little black ball of fur was curled up under all the blankets. He didn’t even flinch, which then made me think he was dead and had suffocated himself. Not so, I picked him up and he gave me this look like “what gives, lady?”

The lack of blogs lately has been due to the hectic work schedule and recent move for Josh and I. But we’ve made it and hopefully things will start settling down now.

Gunther loves the new digs. The first night he was on constant prowl from room to room. This is also the first time he has encountered stairs, as this is the first time we have rented a house. He loves them…he just scurries up and down, up and down, as fast as he can. Over and over. And then he decided to make a goal out of checking out the top window on the staircase.

What a goof ball.

At least he is self-entertaining…

I definitely recommend her, she’s already taught Gunther how to clean out his own litter box Ok not quite yet…

He seriously thinks he is a mini human.

I guess he’s not really in the mood to entertain this week.

Well its been a while since I have been home long enough to get some candid shots of Gunther being the freak that he is. His latest and greatest though has progressed into what we like to call the “Spinning Kitty” game.

It initially started out with him believing he had ownership of all the couches and chairs in the condo, including the computer chair. So to teach his privileged little butt a lesson we, the good pet owners that we are, sent him for a ride.

This did not phase little Gunther. He enjoyed it so much that now he makes a mad dash onto the chair, throwing everything he’s got into it so that it spins by its self. What can I say? The damn cat loves to spin in the chair.

Of course, after a couple minutes of intense spinning…he gets wiped out and goes all spread eagle on the floor. And that plastic gray thing in the picture next to him used to be a furry mouse until he stripped it of its furry-ness.
