<description>Sorry for the intrusion. I found your email address online and I was hoping I could solicit your help in identifying a particular insect. I have already tried using terminix and orkin with no luck, I greatly appreciate your time.

The insect in question is located at the following URL.

The insect in question is all over my house. Both inside and outside. It seems to like shade. It is very small. The pictures of the insect were taken against exterior lap siding. I live in a rural area in northeastern Massachusetts. My property abuts wetlands. The only other thing I can say is they may be causing damage to wood structure. If I look close at various areas of wood around the house I find tiny holes. I would say the holes are round and slightly larger than the insect it self. I did notice that after painting wood that was previously exposed they numbers are greatly reduced in that particular area. One last thing that may be worth mentioning is that we do have some bats that are roosting in the soffits of our house. I was wondering if these insects could be related in some way.

Again, thanks for your time.

Best Regards,
